Moisture Service Agreements
As a fully licensed pest control company, Pestech East Carolina Exterminators, Inc. is equipped to offer moisture control services. North Carolina law requires a licensed and insured pest company to handle Wood Decay Fungi, also known as Wood Rot. This is a Phase W certification and can be controlled through our methods of integrated pest management. Pestech evaluates each house to determine the proper steps for total control that normally include the combination of pesticide controls and mechanical controls.
Our team has experience with various mechanical controls. They may utilize moisture barriers, crawl space air entry conditioning, dehumidifiers for optimal humidity levels, sealing porch accesses, or sealing other areas of great dew point fluctuation. Our technicians may also utilize pesticide controls which may include a wood cleaner to remove any fungi or a wood application to kill and prevent the growth of any fungi.
